Dr. Kenneth R. Wulff, age 91 of North Canton passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Aultman Compassionate Care Center with family by his side. He was born April 28, 1933, in Liberty Center, Ohio to Joseph and Hazel (Mayer) Wulff.
Kenneth was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran serving as an aerial photographer. He received his bachelor's and master's Degrees from Bowling Green State University and his Doctorate from Ohio University. Dr. Wulff taught Education undergraduates and graduate students at every Kent State University Campus. He was a lifetime OEA Member and traveled through the Classroom Teachers Program in Scotland, England, Germany and China. Dr. Wulff and his wife Joyce traveled on sabbatical to Australia and lived a year in Poland, teaching at the University of Warsaw. Dr. Wulff published "Education in Poland Past, Present and Future". Kenneth has been a member of Liberty Center Masonic Lodge #518 F&AM since March 9, 1957.
For the past 20 years, Kenneth has been a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton where he served in the Stephen Ministry and was previously a member of First Presbyterian Church in Athens, Bryan Presbyterian Church in Bryan and Northminster Presbyterian Church in North Canton. He was active and dedicated to each congregation and served as an Elder. He volunteered in many church and community organizations including Habitat for Humanity.
Travel was a passion for Kenneth and Joyce; together, they visited six of seven Continents, all 50 State Capitals and the majority of the National Parks & Monuments, sharing many travel experiences with their children. They hosted 12 exchange students through Youth for Understanding Exchange Program and were field managers for Northeast Ohio placement. Kenneth had his private pilot license and enjoyed researching genealogy, documenting and providing the rich family history for both sides of the family.
He is survived by children, Scott (Lisa) Wulff of Canton, Lori Wulff of North Canton, Karen Wulff of Plain Township; grandchildren, Anna and Joseph Wulff. Preceded in death by wife, Joyce in 2022.
Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4:00 p.m., Masonic Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave N. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. David deVries, Rev. Benjamin George and Rev. Michael Wallace officiating. Private family interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested for Kent State University, Stark Campus for the Dr. Kenneth R. Wulff Endowed Scholarship and/or Christ Presbyterian Church for the Stephen Ministry Program.
