Kenneth M. Rapport, age 64, of Dover, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, October 12, 2012 in Aultman Hospital. Born on December 28, 1947 in Dover to the late Albert and Hilda (Kauffman) Rapport. Ken graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1966 and attended Akron University. He was co-owner of Tuscarawas Auto Parts in New Philadelphia and a member of the New Philadelphia Elk's Lodge and Mason Lodge #177 of New Philadelphia. He was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and member of the American Legion Post #139. Preceded in death by his wife Rita L. (Cohen) Rapport on September 18, 1996. Survived by a daughter Alberta J. Rapport of Miami, FL; daughter and son-in-law Carolyn M. and Scott Harmon of Dover, OH; and son and daughter-in-law David H. and Katie Rapport of St. Petersburg, FL; sister Davetta Rapport and companion Pat Veltri both of New Philadelphia, OH; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Ellen Rapport of Canton; two grandsons Reece and Blake Harmon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dr. Gary and Pat Cohen of Wisconsin and Alan and Carol Cohen of Pennsylvnia; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Shaaray Torah Synagogue with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Interment in Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
