Kenneth Willard Hagan, age 89, of Hartville, OH went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 5, 2021.
Ken was born on September 28, 1931 in Peoria, IL to Earl F. (Frank) Hagan and Della May St Clair. Ken grew up in Washington, IL where he met the love of his life, Carole J Crenshaw, and they married on May 31, 1953.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Charles "Chuck" Hagan and Earl Hagan, sisters: Nell Bartholomew and Phyllis Kramer, and 2 grandsons: Matt and Jon Rentsch.
Dad joined the Navy shortly after graduating from Washington Community High School. He served on the USS Aucilla in the South Atlantic Ocean during the Korean War and was discharged in 1954. He then worked for Central IL Light Company as a lineman for 35 years. Upon retirement in 1992 they moved to Weslaco, TX and moved to Ohio in 2021.
Ken leaves his wife, Carole of 68 years and their children: Kenneth M (Wanda) Hagan, Barbara J (Ron) Rentsch, Ronald E (Brenda) Hagan, Rodney D Hagan, James P Hagan, Daniel W (Tammy) Hagan, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren all of whom will miss and love him forever.
Dad was a devoted Christian and a long-time member of Washington Christian Church, serving as both an Elder and Deacon. He was also active in New Life Baptist Church in TX.
Arnold Funeral Home is assisting with the final arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, IL at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice Care of Akron or First Christian Church of Canton.
