Kay W. Blohm (Waggoner) age 81, of North Canton, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 after an extended illness. Kay was born in Amsterdam, OH to the late Carl and Mary Waggoner. She moved to Canton as a child and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949. Kay worked for Ohio Bell Telephone as a young woman, took time to raise a family, then went back to work at and retired from the Stark County Board of Elections. She was an excellent cook who loved to read, sew, and entertain friends in her spare time. Kay is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul L. Blohm, and daughters Paula Sklodowski of Fort Myers, FL, and Barbara Russell (John) of Clinton, OH. Sister-in-law, Nancy Waggoner also survives. A memorial service will be 12 Noon Friday, June 28, 2013 in Faith United Methodist Church 300 Ninth St., N.W. North Canton, OH 44720 with Rev. Steve Stultz-Costello officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 12 Noon. There will be a luncheon at the church after the service. A private interment will take place in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
