Kathryn L. Borden (Jones) "Kate" passed away peacefully in her home on May 4, 2012. She was born in Canton on November 24, 1921 to the late William E. and Fanny G. Jones. Kate was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Robert C. (Bob) Borden and two sisters Marjorie G. Callahan and Betty Lou Lloyd. She is survived by her sons: Thomas L. (Holly) Borden, Tim (Jeanie) Borden, Ted W. Borden and Todd H. Borden. Daughter: Cindy K. Clapper. Numerous nieces & nephews along with sister-in-law Shirley Dagostino. Grandchildren: Paul W. (Shelly) Borden, Jennie (Vince) Frustaci, Tim (Jen) Borden, Valerie (Michael) Farkas, Julie (Chad) Day, Wendy (Dan) Langley, Jessica (Jasin) Jones, and Max (Devin) Clapper. Great grandchildren: Matelyn, Ben, Jack, Will, Gianna and Abigail. Kate graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1939. She was an active member of the North Canton Lady Elks, was a lifelong member of First Church of the Resurrection and the Flora C. Heidrich Circle. She enjoyed a very fulfilling life traveling and spending time at Myers Lake and winters in Florida, knitting, playing cards, volunteering and time spent with her many friends from church. Kate will be missed for her smile, kindness and wit. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice and countless friends for their love and support. A celebration of Kate's life will be on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in First Church of the Resurrection. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
