Kate E. Payne, age 84, of Canton died Wednesday morning in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born in Webster Springs, WV to the late Willard and Esta (Cowger) Dodrill, Kate was also preceded in death by her husband O. Ray Payne in 1999. Survivors include three daughters: Stephanie Bradford, Kathryn Payne and Tammy (Tom) Forsythe all of Canton. Son David Payne of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Four grandchildren: Joshua and James Forsythe, Emily (A.J.) Burgess and Natalie Clark. Great grandson: Ezekiel Burgess. Sister Mary Jane DeBord also survives. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in Crossroads United Methodist Church 120 Cleveland Ave., S. with Rev. Edward Fashbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W.
