Karla Pearlman, age 55, of Canton, passed away on Monday August 26, 2013 in the comfort of her home with family and friends by her side. She was born in Canton on October 28, 1957 and graduated from Lehman High School in 1976. She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art in 1980. Karla fought cancer and supported others since she was diagnosed in 2000. She was an inspiration to many, participating in many fund raising activities. She was preceded in death by her father Earl and brothers Michael and Steven; she is survived by her mother Helen; sister Laura and Richard Solomon, brother Dean and Jackie Pearlman all of Canton; sister-in-law Susan Pearlman of AL; nieces and nephews Max, Stephen (Meghan Rutherford), Renee and Caitlyn Solomon, Zak and Shaina Pearlman, Julie Pearlman; other relatives and friends including Pat and Dick Brown and Tammy Bukoffski; and puppy dog Vern. Funeral services will be Wednesday (TODAY) 1:00 PM at Shaaray Torah Synagogue with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Final resting place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
