Karen A. Garra, age 79, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 20, 2020 at St. Joseph Care where she recently resided. She was born May 31, 1941 in Canton to the late Arthur and Grace (Wales) Zellers and graduated from Marlboro High School in 1959 then Mount Union College in 1963. Her career spanned 32 years teaching 5th grade at Washington Elementary School. She and her husband loved to travel during the summer school break. For many years, she was a member of The Chapel in Marlboro where she was active in the choir.

Preceded in death by husband Richard A. Garra in 2003. She is survived by her sister Kathie (Jan) Lukens, brother Keith (Teralee) Zellers; nieces and nephew Erik (Rebecca) Lukens, Erika (Phil) Yoder, Erin (Bruce) Darr, Amanda (Andy) Beltz, Rebecca (Matt) Westfall; and great-nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside Service will be held Monday 3:00 PM at Marlboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Senior Living Center in Louisville.
