Kaitlyn Marie Gooding, 25, of Hartville, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2024 from complications from Gardner's Syndrome. She was born on July 16, 1999, in Canton, Ohio to her mother Amy (Derek) Dunkle and her father Shawn (Mariah) Gooding.

She was a 2017 graduate of Lake High School where she was a member of the band. Kaitlyn also played softball for her church, First Friends Church of Canton and enjoyed dance.

Kaitlyn furthered her education at the University of Akron and graduated in 2021 with an associate's degree in criminal justice.

She loved reading and could always be found upstairs, submersed in a good book on her kindle.

Kaitlyn was an avid Stitch fan and loved animals especially her two cats, Peaches, and Tiger Lilly.

In addition to her parents, Kaitlyn is survived by her siblings, Alexa, Brennan, Michael, Ella, Carly, Avery, and Brady; Maternal grandmother Joyce (Frank) Catalde and maternal grandfather Thomas Baker; Paternal grandparents, Dave Gooding and Cheryl Murphy Caldwell. As well as two nieces, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends who will miss her deeply.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9th from 5-8 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville.

A funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Cross Pointe Church, 711 25th St NW, Canton, OH 44709. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
