June Lamb Johnson

September 16, 1931 — June 5, 2026

Canton, Ohio

June Lamb Johnson, 94, passed into the presence of her soulmate on June 5, 2026.

Born in Lakewood, Ohio on September 16, 1931, June lived a life beautifully defined by love, deep friendships, and a spirit of adventure. She was married to the love of her life, George, for nearly 66 years before his passing. Together, they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories rooted in unwavering loyalty and shared dreams.

Adventure and connection were at the heart of June’s world. She and George were avid sailors, forming lifelong friendships on the water that became some of her most treasured memories. In later years, they enjoyed escaping the Ohio winters for the Alabama sunshine, embracing a slower pace of life they had earned.

June was happiest when her home was full of family and friends. Known for keeping a spotless house, opening her doors to everyone, and her love for a perfectly made martini, she possessed a rare ability to make people feel welcomed. Those who knew June will remember her fierce dedication to her family and her profound understanding that life’s greatest blessings are found in the relationships we nurture.

While we mourn her passing, we take great comfort in knowing she is joyfully reunited with George, her parents David and Catherine Lamb and siblings Ed Lamb and Irene Swan.

She is survived by children Cathy Weist, George (Tammy) Johnson, Bill (Linda) Johnson. Grandchildren, Kirk Weist, Billy (Emma) Johnson, Lauren (Josh) Moore, Jimmy (Becky) Johnson, Paige (Michael) Blair, Joey (Noel) Johnson and Katie Johnson. Great grandchildren, Lynn Weist, Madden Moore, Eli Johnson, Cora Johnson, Emmett Johnson, Weston Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Winslow Blair, Barrett Moore, and Walker Johnson.
