Judy Melchior

Judy Melchior passed away on April 18, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1943, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Bill and Beverly (Phillips) Yoerns.

Judy was a 1961 graduate of Central Catholic High School where she met Pete, her high school sweetheart and husband of 48 years.

She was known for her kindness and loving spirit. She cherished bringing family and friends together filling the table with her delicious cooking.

Judy’s wedding soup and cheesecake were often requested, and particularly her homemade ravioli at Christmas. She especially loved making her grandchildren her special French toast.

Judy worked for many years at A&D Foodarama in Massillon as the deli manager. She went onto to work several more years and retired from Vagotis Law Office as an administrative assistant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Cheri (Leach) and brother Jeffery.

She is survived by her three children, Gina Maragas (Doug), Peter Melchior, and Kelly Mastriacovo (Paul); grandchildren Natalie Melchior and Samantha Maragas; niece and nephews Tim Leach (Tammy), Tara Kline, and Todd Leach (Melissa).

The family will receive friends for a gathering on Saturday, May 2nd from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave. N., Canton, Ohio, 44714.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
