Joseph Kohut Sr. age 73, passed away unexpectedly December 15, 2025, in his home in Atwater, Ohio. He was born on September 30, 1952, to the late Michael and Grace Lucketti-Kohut in Youngstown, Ohio. After serving a short time in the Army, he went on to be an IRS agent, which he then retired from and then went on to start his own tax business, JJJ Tax Service.  Joseph enjoyed playing guitar for friends and family and enjoyed it so much he even played in the church worship band.

Joseph is preceded by his parents, son; Joseph Kohut Jr., brother; Robert Kohut, and loving companion puppy; Buddy. He is survived by daughters; Jenna and Justina Kohut, siblings; Denise Kohut, Deborah Carbone, and Michael Kohut, loving companion cats; Thor and Ford.

A memorial service for Joseph will be Saturday, December 27th at 11:00am at The Chapel of Marlboro, 8700 Edison St., Louisville, OH with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Friends and family may gather prior for calling hours from 10:00am to 11:00am.
