Joseph Lane Ricks, age 88, of Hartville, passed away on Wednesday May 10, 2023. He was born in York, South Carolina on August 6, 1934 to the late George and Loretta (Birchfield) Ricks. He served in the Army. He retired from Gen Corp. in Mogadore. He enjoyed working in the garden and loved his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Sandy; children Deborah Ricks, Lori (Terry) Davis, Stephanie (William) Ohman; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers George (DeAnna) Ricks, Kenny (Rosie) Ricks, John Paul (Marie) Ricks; and other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his sons Joseph Ricks and Stephan Bilbrey; infant granddaughter Shelby Lynn Ohman; sister Violene Pierce  and brother Frank Ricks.

A graveside service for family will be held.
