John D. "Jack" Wynn, age 93, of Canton, passed away Sunday morning June 12, 2016. He was born in Canton on November 5, 1922 to John Jr. and Loretta (Henna) Wynn. He graduated from Lehman High School in 1940 and Ohio State Dental School in 1946. Jack spent WW II in dental school, in the Army Specialty Training Program, and during the Korean War, he was in the Dental Corps. His dental practice was at Little Flower Medical Center and Harrison Ave.

He was a long time member of the Stark Dental Society and of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he served on the Vestry. He served on the Board at Tam O'Shanter Golf Club and was a member of Atwood Yacht Club, Brookside Country Club and Glenmoor Country Clubs.

Preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Harris) Wynn who he met in first grade at Worley Elementary School and became high school sweethearts; brother Herbert J. Wynn; and sister Dorothy Ann Wynn Ake.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia (Cindy) and Alan Shultz of Columbus, Pamela and John Newberry of Beverly Farms, MA; sister Loretta Elizabeth Wynn Doll of Canton; nieces and nephews Theodore (Nancy) Doll, Whitney (Patty) Ake, David Ake, Heidi (Bill) Maloni, Dulcie Simonds, Dr. Audrea Wynn II (Lowell Henderson), and Herbert Joseph (Carole) Wynn II.

Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave Canton. Funeral services are Friday 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Dustin Berg officiating. All are invited to a reception following services in the church at Glenmoor Country Club.
