John F. Wittensoldner, age 70, of Hartville, suddenly passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2018. He was born on September 18, 1947 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Louis and Joan (Bolanz) Wittensoldner. He graduated from Hoban High School and was an Army Veteran. He retired from Kent State University and member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church where he ushered on Sundays. John served 26 years on the Hartville Village Council. He enjoyed playing cards, riding his motorcycle and especially being with his family and the grandchildren he adored.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Peggy; sons John Jay (Michelle), Adam; grandchildren Spencer, Charlotte, Harrison; siblings Jim (Rudy), Larry (Deb deceased), Laura (Harvey) Zimmerman, Les (Bobbie), Joe (Patti); brother-in-law Jay (Dotti) Spencer; 18 nieces and nephews and numerous great- nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Jeffrey.

Calling hours are Friday 4-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 11 AM at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Nicholas Mancini celebrant. Final resting place is the Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Lung Association or charity of your choice.
