Obituary
John T. Wildes, Sr., of Canton, born December 23, 1936 in Barnesville, Ohio and passed away peacefully January 3, 2019. John was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Edna Wildes; brother, George Wildes and sister, Ella McVicker. He is survived by a son, John (Chris) T. Wildes, Jr.; two grandchildren, Tiffany and Ashley; daughter, Pamela (Gary) Bruce; sister, Evelyn Waers and brother, James Wildes. He was an Army veteran and retired from Heinz in 2001. John was a member of Faith Community Church and will be remembered for his love of singing old hymns in his deep voice, doing jigsaw puzzles, collecting coins and being with his pets. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph and Crossroads Hospice for the compassionate care he received during his last year. Funeral service will be 11a.m. Monday in Faith Community Church with Pastor Elden Smith officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in John's memory to Faith Community Church 4301 Cleveland Ave. N.W., Canton, OH 44709.
