John Edward Wiebelt, age 78 of Hartville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday Morning August 8, 2007 at Altercare of Hartville. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 10, 1929 to the late George & Bertha (Bauman) Wiebelt. He worked with the family at Wiebelt Towing and at Dick's Crane Service. He was with ROTC at Kent State. A good Christian Man, he was a member of Mogadore Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Janice; children, John Jr. (Lori) Wiebelt of FL, Suzanne (Bud) Jung of Loudonville, Diane Wiebelt of FL, John (Susan) Pontius of MI, Randall (Debbie) Pontius of NV, Brian (Sharon) Pontius of NC, Janice (Robert) Howell of Hartville, Stephen (Kathy) Pontius of Milford Center, Karen (Chuck) Nash of Twinsburg, Jill (Brian) Rebuck of MD; grandchildren, Kyle and Amanda Wiebelt, Colleen (Pastor Neil) Wintermute, Daniel (Mary) Pontius, Meghan (Brett) Dempsey, Nathaniel Pontius, Campbell (Dan) Valle, Jordan Pontius, Sarah, Miranda and Wendy Pontius, Joshua, Matthew (Leslie) and Rachel Howell, Vincent, Oliver and Katrina Pontius, Tim, Jason and April Tarvin, Sam Rebuck and Jennifer DeAngelis; and 11 very loved great-grandchildren; siblings, Dick (Becky) Wiebelt of FL, Marjorie Darsch of Rootstown, George (Maria) Wiebelt, Robert (Brigitte) Wiebelt, Karen (Leon) Curry all of FL; and well loved nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by first wife Patricia. Friends may call Saturday 9:30- 11:00 AM and funeral services will be Saturday 11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville with Pastor Rob Seymour and Pastor Perry Chronister officiating.
