John G. Visger was received by the Lord Jesus on January 16, 2017.

He was a beloved Christ-follower, husband, and father of five sons as well as many other sons and daughters in the faith.

Throughout his struggle with illness he repeatedly said that he was "blessed above all" and that even suffering was a blessing.

He leaves behind a legacy that surpasses understanding as he has impacted countless as was his stated life's purpose. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Marilyn (Wessel); his sons Mark (Joanna), John (Cherish), Bob, Dan (Jessica), Dave (Meike); 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers Bob, Jim (Judy), Tim; sister Faith (Jamie dec.) Luttrell; and brother-in-law John (Sandra) Wessel.

Calling hours are Friday 1:30-3:30 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Arnold Funeral Home 504 W. Maple St. in Hartville. Funeral services are Saturday 10:00 AM at Abundant Grace Ministries 11776 Cleveland Ave., NW in Uniontown. Final resting place is Edinburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Grace Ministries.
