John J. St John, Jr. age 85, of Canton died Wednesday afternoon in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Marietta, OH he had resided in Canton most of his life. John was a Navy veteran of WWII and was retired from the Stark County Engineering Department. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Gyro Club of Canton, Eagles and the American Legion. John will be remembered fondly by his many friends as an avid fishing and hunting enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Mary (Stefanick) St John of the residence. Two daughters: Mrs. Gary (Shelva) Falkner of Canton and Mrs. Dale (Sandra) Brown of Philadelphia, PA. Two sons: Richard St John of West Virginia and Dwain (Teri) Kinsinger of Annapolis, MD. Twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10:00 A.M. in Little Flower Catholic Church with Fr. John Zuzik as officiant. Interment will be in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. The procession will form at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church 2040 Diamond St., N.E. Canton, OH 44721.
