John E. Shrock, age 71, of Navarre, went home to be with the Lord on Friday February 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with carcinoid cancer for the past 6 years. He was born August 8, 1947 in Canton to the late Enos and Sevilla (Raber) Shrock. He was a welder, working with his father and then owning Shrock Welding. He was a mechanic, worked on small engines, and retired after 13 years of truck driving. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha "Betz" (Stutzman); children Marsha Schrock, Jim (Amy) Shrock, David (Jody) Shrock, Johnny (Kelly) Shrock, Joe (Jessica) Shrock, Daniel (Louise) Shrock; 18 grandchildren; 4 brothers Eli (Pat), Enos Jr., Ray (Jodi), Paul (Jackie); 3 sisters Martha (Willis) Wagler, Arrie Ledsome, Marie (Wendyl) Kandel; sisters-in-law Dorothy and Amanda Shrock. Preceded in death by brothers Alvin and Elmer; brother-in-law Fred Ledsome.

Calling hours are Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Hartville. Funeral services are Tuesday 10 AM in the church with Pastor Ken Wengerd officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
