John A. Schubert, age 89, of Canton died Friday morning. Born in Salineville, OH to the late Max & Olive (Carter) Schubert he was retired from Babcox and Wilcox. An Army Veteran of WW II John was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Martha Clapsadle, brother, Dean Schubert, nephew, Carter Clapsadle and his beloved wife Jean Schubert who died in 1999. He is survived by nephews: Jan (Kathy) and Jay (Karen) Clapsadle, and niece: Nancy Clapsadle. Numerous great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Monday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Pastor Darla Ann Kratzer officiating. A private entombment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
