John G. Mick, Jr., age 87, of Canton died Friday afternoon in St. Luke Lutheran Home. Born in Chicago, Ill on April 13, 1919 he had resided here most of his life. John was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School. John retired from the Timken Company as a Control Analyst, he was a member of Canton Lodge # 60 F &AM, and Life Member of the North Canton Elk's and was a former member of Canton Kiwanis Club. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty on October 28, 2002. He is survived by cousins, Susan Schimansky of Canton, John (Rosemary) Schimansky of Illinois and Mark (Cathy) Schimansky of California. Funeral service will be Tuesday 1:00 P.M. in the Spiker-FosterShriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor Luther W. Lautenschleger officiating. Entombment will be in the North Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Home 220 Applegrove St., N.E.
