John P. McHenry, age 92 of North Canton, passed away Thursday Morning, May 13, 2010, He was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania February 8, 1918 to John C. and Mary (Burns) McHenry. Mr. McHenry was a watch maker before he worked as a supervisor at Metal Carbides in Boardman, Ohio, retiring in 1979 and moving to North Canton. He was a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. John was a WW II Army Veteran and was a Bronze Star recipient. He was a past Worshipful Master of Allen Lodge # 276 F.& A.M. in Columbiana, Ohio and member of Knights Templar in Salem, Royal Arch Masons, New Lisbon Chapter # 92, Grand Council of the Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, Omega Council # 44. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth; daughters and son-in-law, Sandy and Paul Teter of North Canton, Nancy McHenry of Bangor, Maine; grandsons, Chris Teter, John and Jeffrey Huhn. Funeral services will be Saturday 2:30 p.m. at St, Jacob's Lutheran Church with Pastor Leah Schafer officiating. Interment will be in St. Jacob's Cemetery.
