John S. Krantz, age 59, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on December 1, 1959 in Akron. A Marlington High School graduate, John excelled in cross country and held a county record. He worked as a carpenter and was a good craftsman taking an artist approach to his craft. He had a quick easy laugh, loved to tell stories, and taught us not to sweat the small stuff. His nature was to be kind to all. Preceded in death by his mother Mary Jane (Hereford) Krantz; he is survived by his father Cliff (Martha Drake) Krantz of Marlboro; son Jason Krantz of Marlboro; 2 brothers David (Diane) Krantz of Kent and Jerry Krantz of Barberton; and many other relatives and friends.
