John G. Hedrick 84 passed peacefully on October 9,2016.

Preceded in death by his parents John and Victoria Hedrick, wife Patty Hedrick, brothers Gene and Michael Hedrick, grandson Ryan Campanelli, and son-in-law Jeffrey Kirby.

Survived by his daughter and son-in-law Georgia and Michael Campanelli, son and daughter-in-law Scott and Maureen Hedrick, and daughter Tammy Carbenia. Also, survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

John was a honored Marine veteran in the Korean War, graduate of Notre Dame and Kent State University and spent 36 years with Akron University as an English Professor and Dean of Wayne Technical College.

Cremation has taken place and the family will gather at a later date.
