John R. Dyer, age 83, of North Canton, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born as one of 10 on March 29, 1937 in Canton to Raymond and Mary (Brady) Dyer. He attended McKinley High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving as an ejection seat specialist. Following his service, he married his wife, Vera Brady, on May 28, 1960. He was always one to bring humor to any situation, loved following the Ohio State Buckeyes, singing, and playing golf.

He is survived of his wife of 60 years, Vera; children Carla (John) McBride, Julie Dyer, Deanna Chuchanis, Lorie (Marc) Cumo, and John (Rachel) Dyer; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother Wayne (Mary Lou) Dyer. He is preceded in death by parents and several siblings.

Private family services have been held. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Refuge of Hope, 715 2nd Street, Canton, Ohio 44704
