John P. Campbell Jr, age 82 of Canton, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, in his residence. He was born May 16, 1936, in Canton to John and Thelma (Harter) Campbell. John was a 1954 McKinley High School graduate, was a U. S. Airforce veteran. He retired from the Hoover Company after 40 years of service. He was also a member of McKinley Lodge #431 F&AM, First Friends Church and had volunteered for the Red Cross.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Sondra in 2002, a daughter Cynthia, sister, Evaleen Drewry and brother Edward. He is survived by a daughter, Lura (Bill) Howell of Canton; son, John (Lori) Campbell III of Canton; sisters, Rosalee Hadbavny and Shirley Carnes both of Canton; grandchildren, Troy John (Lexy), Christopher Howell, Sarah Warstler (Travis) and Justin Campbell and faithful dog, LaLa.

Calling hours will be Friday 1-2:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating followed by burial at North Lawn Cemetery.
