Jerald E. Barnett, age 86, of Canton, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 14, 2012. Born in Canton to the late Elmer & Cora (Lantz) Barnett he had served in the Army Air Force. Jerald retired as an electrician from the Hercules Engine Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Hercules Old Guard Club. Jerald was active with his church and truly enjoyed his numerous trips to Hawaii over the years. He is survived by his sister: Eloise Barnett of the residence, and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be12 Noon on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Don Richards officiating. Entombment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
