Jeffrey P. Basner, age 54 of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly Saturday night, August 14, 2010. He was born September 2, 1955, in Canton to Paul and Ruth (Harpold) Basner. Jeff graduated from Hoover High School in 1973 and attended Kent State University. He was retired from the Keebler Company. Jeff thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and boating and fishing by his home on Lake Cable. He also greatly enjoyed playing cards and listening to music. He is survived by a daughter, Brittany Basner of Augusta, Georgia; son Zachary Basner of Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and David Greek of Canton; nieces Emily and Mary Greek, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends from northeast Ohio to the gulf shores of Florida. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton. A memorial service will begin at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor David J. Wright officiating.
