Jeffery Ray Dutton, a devoted husband, father, and son, was born on July 12, 1962, and passed away on June 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Jeff earned his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University. He worked for the Stark County Regional Planning Commission before his retirement. Jeff found his greatest joy in his family and took immense pride in his children. He cherished watching his son Ethan excel in baseball, football, and basketball, and his daughter Madeline shine in volleyball, softball, and dance. Their achievements in higher education and promising careers brought him immense joy. Family vacations and trips with his beloved wife, Melody, were a source of endless happiness for him. Jeff enjoyed hiking, biking, regularly working out at the Lake Community YMCA, playing golf with his late father, and riding his tractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dutton and Kathy Baker. Jeff is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Melody; his son Ethan and daughter-in-law Megan; his daughter Madeline; his mother Barbara Dutton; his brothers Michael (Terri) and TJ; and the entire Dutton family. Jeff's warmth, love, and dedication to his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. Jeff's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the dedicated caregivers at The Gables of Green, Dr. Michael Wells, The Traditions Hospice Team, Jen, Anita and Bridget and Jeff's sister-in-law Susan for their wonderful and compassionate care. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 4-7:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home, 504 West Maple St. Hartville. A memorial service will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with family friend James Benson officiating.
