Jeanne Frances Kaufman, age 86 of Canton passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Aultman Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1924 in Topeka, Kansas to the late Floyd and Bertha Lewman. She graduated from Topeka Business College. In 1945 she married Raymond K. Kaufman. For seven years she taught in her private kindergarten. Later she was the cafeteria manager for McKinley High School for 25 years. She was an active member of Christ Community Methodist Church and presently a member of Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton. She was a member of Atwood Yacht Club and an avid tennis player for many years. Preceded in death by her husband Ray in 1998; brother Gerald Lewman and sister Elna Wolsoncroft. She will always be much loved and will be greatly missed by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Donald Braden of Dover, Judith and Eric Johnson of Ashland, Deborah and Fred Carr of Green, Nancy and Larry Peters of Amanda, OH; 7 grandchildren Bethany, Drew (fiancée Erin) and Daniel Braden, Steven and Matthew (Rachel) Johnson, James (Ashley) and John Carr; 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 13 at 11:00 AM at Faith United Methodist Church of North Canton, 300 9th St., NW, with Rev. Steve Stultz Costello officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday 10-11 AM at the church. Interment services will take place at Omar Cemetery in Attica, OH with Rev. Norma Bates officiating.
