Jeanette Richards, a beloved mother, grandmother and devoted wife passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on June 28, 1936, Jeanette lived a full and meaningful life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Richards, with whom she shared many wonderful years.
Jeanette is survived by her children Tom (Vanessa) Richards, Sue (Ralph) Wearsch and Allen (Michele) Richards; grandchildren Kyle Richards, Kurt (Olivia) Richards, Kristen (Cory) Lawson, Kelsey Wearsch, Ryan Richards and Natalie Richards (Brentt Keller); great-grandchildren Lillian and Rita Rose Richards.
A graduate of North Canton High School, Jeanette continued her education at Kent State University, where she earned her teaching degree. She dedicated 31 years to teaching grade school, touching the lives of countless children through her patience, kindness, and commitment to education. Teaching was more than a career for Jeanette; it was an opportunity to make lasting difference in the lives of others.
Outside the classroom, Jeanette had a wonderful sense of adventure and a love for exploring the world. Her travels took her to beautiful destinations, including Greece, Italy, Alaska, Hawaii and the Grand Canyon. Each journey brought new experiences and memories that she treasured.
Jeanette also found great happiness in life’s simpler pleasures. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and, most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren. Family was always a central part of her life, and the moments spent together were among her greatest joys.
Above all, Jeanette will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the lives she touched through teaching, and the many wonderful memories she leaves behind. Her life was one of dedication, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the people and experiences that mattered most.
Although she will be dearly missed, her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
