Jeanette L. ("Jennie") Cohen Jeanette L. Cohen, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, at Lexington of Schaumburg (IL). Her husband of 63 years, Simon G. ("Cy") Cohen, preceded her in death in 2010. Jennie is survived by daughter Diana (Wayne) Schneidman and son Michael Cohen (Robert Maszczak). She was loving bubby to grandchildren, Faye Rivka Harris, Herschel J. Harris and Stuart Eli Harris; step-grandchildren Jennifer (Harvey) Schneidman Partica, Kimberly Schneidman, Jeffrey Schneidman and Jennifer Stephens; four step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Martha L. Cohen, who was married to Cy's now deceased brother, Arthur H. Cohen. (Two brothers married two sisters!) Jennie's sisters, Mary Lurie and Sara (Morris) Orlinoff, also preceded Jennie in death. Jennie graduated from Buchtel High School, Akron. She served as secretary to an executive vice-president of Goodyear Aerospace in Akron during World War II and held several secretarial positions after moving to Canton upon her 1947 marriage. She resided at Alexian Village of Elk Grove Village, near children and grandchildren, for several years, moving to Lexington for the last year of her life. In April 2013, she celebrated her 90th birthday with a luncheon at which family from around the country gathered to share happy memories. The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. in the Arnold Funeral Home with Hazzan Bruce D. Braun officiating. Burial at the Canton Hebrew Cemetery will immediately follow.
