Jean Evelyn Meyer, age 93, of Canton, passed away on December 31, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Warner, Ohio, daughter of Earl and Laura Montgomery on September 25, 1922. Jean played basketball at Salem Liberty High School where her team won three state championships. After graduating, she moved to Canton in her early 20's where she met her husband Paul. They were married 43 years before his passing in 1986. She worked at Norman Drugstore for 20 years and retired to take care of her husband.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband (Paul); son-in-law William LePar; sisters Margaret Dvorovy, Donna Watson; and brothers Dean Montgomery and Earl Montgomery Jr. She is survived by her daughter Nancy LePar; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Jodi Meyer, Michael Meyer; grandchildren Thomas LePar, Ashley Johnson and Stephen Meyer; great-grandson Jalen Johnson; sisters-in-law Kathleen Montgomery and Eloise Montgomery; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call Monday 5-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Canton. A Funeral will be Tuesday 1 PM at the funeral home with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
