Jean L. Cochran, age 87, of Hartville, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. She was born in Beach City, Ohio on March 11, 1924 to the late Jacob K. and Helen (Wertenberger) Hostetler. She graduated from Marlboro High School then worked at Metropolitan Life and E. W. Bliss Co. Jean loved her family, attended their events and had a heart for animals. She was an excellent homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband Max D. Cochran in 1989 and they were married for 45 years; two sisters Dorothy Powers and Miriam Royer; and daughter-in-law Teresa Cochran. Survived by children David and Linda of Louisville, Daryl, Ann and Jill all of Hartville; grandchildren Megan and Fred Saylor of Cuyahoga Falls, Matthew Cochran of Gastonia, NC, Chayton Cochran of Louisville, Josef Haltom of Nashville, TN; brother Gerald Hostetler of Brewster, sister Iona Himebaugh of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services will be Thursday 11 AM in the funeral home Pastor Jeri Johnson officiating.
