Janis Marilyn Burnham, age 87, of North Canton, OH went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2018. Janis, the youngest of seven siblings, was born on October 17, 1930 in Matteson Township, Branch County, MI to Alfred (Blue) and Gladys (Snook) Sprowl, all who preceded her in death. On March 11, 1951, she married Edward Burnham, her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years, who preceded her in death in 2004.

Jan was retired from the Hoover Company with over 20 years of service. She devoted her life to her family, friends and church. A model of Christian faith and service, Jan was a longtime, active member of Greentown United Methodist Church.

Jan is survived by two sons, Douglas (Chyme) Burnham, and Randy Burnham of North Canton; four grandchildren, Sean (Kim) Burnham of North Canton, Andrew (Alyssa) Burnham, of NY, NY, Heather (Dan) Stewart, of Massillon, and Amy (Charles) Vendley of Seattle, WA; and five great grandchildren, Daniel, Braiden and Audrey Stewart, Connor Burnham and Cooper Burnham. In addition, Jan is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, whom she adored.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 31 at Greentown United Methodist Church, 3088 State St. NW, Greentown, OH at 3:00 PM with Pastor Carolyn Nichols officiating. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Internment and a second memorial service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon, MI at a later date.
