Janice Elaine Parsons, age 88, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 25, 2019. She was born in Canton on July 23, 1931 to the late Dwight and Alta (Kommel) Shoemaker. Janice was a 1951 graduate of Hartville High School. She enjoyed bowling and dancing and being with her family.

Preceded in death by great granddaughter Rianna Edwards.

She is survived by her sister Marianne (Robert Sr.) Cheyney; son Stephen (Judy Lewis) Faber; daughters Stephanie (Mark) Davis, Patricia (Robert) Stoner, Pamela Alta Jones; grandchildren Stacy (Mark) Lucas, Shari (Andy) Smith, Mark Christopher Davis, Robert Cory Davis, Victoria Nicole Davis, Misty (Richard) Edwards, Jeremy Butz, Mindy Elaine Butz, Lindsey Jones, Ian Jones; great-grandchildren  Damian Centeno, Conner Lucas, Helena Centeno, Brittany (Jason) Talbot, Brook-lynn and Evelyn Davis, Jasmin and Ryan Davis, Carmilla, Raejena, Richard Jr, and Ray Charles Edwards, and TJ and Alexis Butz; great-great grandson Christian Talbot.

Calling hours are Saturday October 12th from 10-11 AM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services begin Saturday at 11 AM in the funeral home with Janices' nephew Pastor Bob Cheyney officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Peace Cemetery.
