Janette Michelle Long, age 41, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She was a sister, daughter, and mother known for her fighting spirit and boisterous laughter that easily filled a room. Janette loved her family and friends dearly and especially enjoyed time with her daughter, Brianna, and gathering with family on a Sunday afternoon. She was happy to reminiscence and joke about her youthful antics with her sisters and lovingly pestered them well into adulthood. Her family will forever miss her warm heart, loving nature, cackling laughter, and tight hugs.

She is survived by her brilliant and affectionate daughter Brianna Long; parents Donna and Wayne Collingwood, Mark and Rosalee Phillips; grandmother Linda Keagy; siblings Rachel (Thomas) Underwood, Crystal Collingwood, Joe Niner, Robyn (Jim) Russell, Shari (John) Rodgers; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Jared Phillips.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at First Friends Church in Canton at 11:30am, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Brianna. A donation box will be set up during the service.
