Janet L. Reed age 88, of Canton passed away Sunday morning after an extended illness. Born to the late Grover & Mary (Pontius) Schneider she had been a life resident of Canton, Ohio. Janet was a long standing and active member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years Walter Reed, two daughters: Mrs. Craig (Heather) Couris and Mrs. Rhett (Heidi) Mackey both of Atlanta, GA. and two grandsons: Reed and Zane.Sister: Virginia Druckenbrod of Hartville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers: Margaret Gray, Harriett Hose, Mary Schneider, Rebecca Curtis, William and Luther Schneider. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Pastor James Kennell officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
