Jane E. Siekkinen, age 84, of Hartville, went to be with her Lord on Friday April 19, 2013. She was born June 1, 1928 in Canton, Ohio to the late Marion M. and Mildred (Moore) Werstler. She graduated from Hartville High School, then Mount Union College where she met Jack Siekkinen. After graduation, she worked at the Hoover Company in the Quality department and married John on May 21, 1955 on the family farm in Hartville. They made their home in Michigan, raised two sons, then retired to Hartville in 1985 to care for her father. An active church member, she organized annual quilt shows, volunteered for numerous committees, and continued to be active with the Go-Getters. Currently, she was a member of the Uniontown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting and donated hats and mittens to the Head Start program. She was interested in Lake Sports and the Cleveland Indians. Since her young years, she loved the companionship of four legged friends, dogs, and her current one is Buddy. Preceded in death by her husband John on March 16, 2004; she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law John and Gail Siekkinen of Novi, Michigan and James and Gigi Siekkinen of Hood River, Oregon; grandchildren Megan and Ian Siekkinen, Erik, Jack and Kate Siekkinen; sister and brother-in-law Mrs. DJ and Dr. Richard McPherson of Naples, FL; brother-in-law Tom and Janet Siekkinen of Canfield, OH. Calling hours are Thursday 2-4 & 5-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services will be Friday 11 AM at United Methodist Church in Uniontown with Rev. James P. Nolte officiating. Final viewing is in the church on Friday 10-11 AM. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Uniontown UMC or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
