Janavieve K. Patton, 91, of Louisville, Ohio, formerly of New Albany, Ohio, passed away on July 11, 2024. She was born February 22, 1933, in Pike County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Noah Kidd & Octavia Kidd Fleming and stepfather Glen Fleming. She retired from SuperDuper Groceries in Columbus, Ohio in 1978. She was very involved in her former churches of Brice Road Free Will Baptist Church in Reynoldsburg and the Columbus Baptist Temple in Columbus, Ohio. Upon moving to Canton, Ohio to be near family, she became a very involved member in the lady's ministry and the hospitality ministry of Firestone Road Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio until her health prevented her from attending. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Donald L. Patton, and siblings Ralph Kidd, Sybill Kidd, Vivian Fleming, Hurshel Kidd, Mabel Kidd Evans, Joyce Kidd Marshall, Robert E. Fleming, Paul L. Kidd, Ted Kidd, Judy Fleming Brammer, Betty F. Moore, and Netty F. Moore. She is survived by siblings Don E. Fleming, James Fleming, Rosemary Fleming Wyant and Ferne Fleming Baxter and many nieces and nephews. Jan is also survived by her son/daughter-in-law, Phillip Donald Patton & Deborah Gail (Goldsberry) Patton, two beloved grandchildren, Jason Phillip Patton and Jaime Michelle (Patton) Palinchak (Shaun), along with three adored great-grandchildren: Gavin Michael, Livia Josephine, and Clementine Jane Palinchak. A special thank you to the staff at Windsor Medical Center and Crossroads Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided. Family and friends may call from 12:30 PM to 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home at 504 W. Maple Street, Hartville, Ohio 44632. Rev. Paul Gabriel will be officiating. Interment will be in the Henry Warstler Cemetery at the crossroads of Middlebranch Avenue and 55th Street in Canton, Ohio immediately following the service.
