James "Harold" Walker, age 80, of Navarre, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2010. He was born on February 2, 1930 at Lowell, Ohio, the son of the late James Alva and Ida B. (McKown) Walker. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Genevieve Hicks Walker of Navarre. They were married October 1, 1955. Also surviving are sons James A. Walker and wife Trudy of Louisville, Michael Lee Walker of Akron; daughter Lisa and husband Timothy Maxwell of Clarksburg, WV; six grandchildren Ruth, Melissa and Jamie Walker, Micayah Walker, Justin and Ashley Maxwell; great-grandson Gavin A. Walker; sister Wilma (Frank) Manahan; and brothers Ronzel (Janet) Walker and Herbert (Bev) Walker. He was preceded in death by sons Randall Lee and Steven Joel Walker and brothers Paul and Charles Walker. Harold was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and he worked for Union Metal Corporation for 18 years in the Maintenance Dept. He was a member of the Brimfield Church of God where he was a member for over 20 years. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 PM and Monday an hour prior to services 10-11 AM at the Arnold Funeral Home.
