James Robinson Smith, age 59, of Canton passed away Friday evening in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Canton, Jim was a 1966 graduate of Lincoln High School. He had been very active as a Boy Scout and was a Scout Leader. Jim was a cook and had worked at various restaurants in the area, most recently Knights Restaurant. A member of Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, he is survived by his parents: Jack & Shirley Smith of Canton, two sisters: Pricilla Smith & Melissa Price both of Canton. Three nieces: Natalie Davis, Jessica Price, and Traci Hall. Nephew: Jack Cooper. Seven great nieces and nephews. Aunt: Janice Clifford of Florida, and two cousins in Florida. Cousin: Becky Kline of Canton. There isn't any family that could have had a more loving and giving son, brother, uncle or cousin. He will be forever missed. The family would like to thank Dr's Nashawati and Boutrous and the Aultman MICU staff for there loving care and a host of friends for there support. A memorial service will be Tuesday 4:00 P.M. in Westbrook Park United Methodist Church with Rev. John Mather officiating. A private interment will be for the family. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
