James D. Schwitzgable, age 88, of Canton passed away Friday morning in Windsor Medical Center. Born in Canton to the late August and Edna (Rosenbluh) Schwitzgable, he was retired from Schwitzgable Plumbing. Jim attended Lehman High School, was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Welcome In Class. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Noel; sisters, Verda Winslow, Doris Kakos; and a brother, Richard (Dick) Schwitzgable. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children, Daniel (Bonny) Schwitzgable and Rebecca (James) Sedivy; stepchildren, Lisa (Mark) Bowling of Columbia, MD and Amy (Kenneth) Clapsaddle; grandchildren, Cameron and Madison Bowling and Lauren Clapsaddle; sister, Janet Schwitzgable; brother, Thomas (JoAnn) Schwitzgable. A memorial service will be 12 Noon Tuesday in the Chapel of Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Dianne Shirey officiating. A private interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
