Obituary

James Donald (Jim) Riley, age 74, completed his earthly journey and transitioned into his Heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on September 1, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 2, 1942 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Donald W. and Helen Mae (Woodring) Riley. He loved his family, his church, fishing, woodworking and being a helper to everyone. He was a member of Trinity Gospel Temple, worked as an usher, the senior's committee, safety squad and food pantry. He was previously a member of Tallmadge Alliance and The Chapel in Marlboro. He was a machinist technician retiring from B&W Research and Logan Machine.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Donna (Morrow) Riley, whom he married October 5, 1962; two daughters Cynthia Lyn (Don) Cook and Debra Ann (Joe) Marshall; 5 grandchildren Garrett (Amanda), Emily and Gregory Cook, Isabella and Joseph Marshall; brother-in-law Harold Grubb; two nieces and a nephew. Preceded in death by sister Lois Grubb.

Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville, with services beginning promptly at 6 PM with Pastors Dave Lombardi and Terry McCullough officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice or Trinity Gospel Temple Food Pantry.
