Reikowski
June 30, 1936 – February 20, 2014
James E. Reikowski, age 77, of Plain Township died Thursday morning in his residence after a brief illness. Born in Canton to the late Earl Reikowski and Dorthy Hinkel Selig he was a life resident. Jim was a Marine Veteran and was retired after 35 years as a heavy equipment operator, working out of Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of N. Canton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas. Survivors include his wife: JoEllen of the residence. Daughter: Patty of Bonita, CA, two sons: Robert (Julie) of Manassas, VA, and Richard (Cheryl) of Belton, SC. Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Brother: Paul (Patricia) Reikowski of Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday in Little Flower Catholic Parish with Fr. Leo Wehrlin as officiant. A private interment with full military honors will be on Tuesday in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Rittman, OH. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 5 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. Fraternal Order of Eagles Service will be on Sunday 2:45 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Please sign the guest book.
