James Edward Higgins, age 88 of Canton, passed away Thursday. A retired member of UFCW he was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth (Shaeffer) Higgins, son Mark Allen Higgins, daughter Tammy Saler and a special Aunt Helen (Hony) Shaeffer. He is survived by his beloved wife: Harriet Ellen Higgins, son Charles Saler, son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Renee Saler. Daughters and sons-in-law: Cathy and Dan Hussar, Terry and John Danner, Sandy and Dale Taylor. Daughters: Vicky Saler and Judy Hoover. Grandchildren: Danny, Ritchie and Tracy Hussar, Ryan, Audrey, Charles, Harrison and Bradley Saler, Jill and Jordan Robinson. Bobby and David Evans. Great grandchildren: Brittany, Cory, Bo and Brandon Evans, and great buddy Bobby. A special thank you to the caring staff of Summits Trace. Dad loved you too. Our Dad was greatly loved and will be missed. Private services were held for the family.
