James L. Hays, age 66, of North Canton, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 in the Louis Stokes Veterans Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in New Brighton, PA to the late Louis & Sophia (Harlop) Hays, he was an Army Veteran having served as a Captain in Viet Nam and was the recipient of the Bronze Star. A retired social worker he is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Jacklyn (Robert) Soos and Mrs. Audrey (Robert) Webster both of North Canton, nieces and nephews also survive. In accordance with his wishes he will be laid to rest with full military honors in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please sign the guest book.
