James C. Long "Jim", age 66, of Canton passed away following a brief illness at Mercy Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1955, in Cleveland to James K. and Barbara C. (Crew) Long. James graduated from West Geauga High School, attended Case Western University, and graduated from Kent State University. He spent over 40 years as a software engineer at the Diebold Company and enjoyed acting in local plays and was active in the Canton theater scene. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course.

He is survived by his siblings Elizabeth (Frank) Lavallo and David (Joan) Long.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
