Jacques L. Karrer, age 81, of Canton, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon after a brief illness. Born in Canton to the late John and Erma (Garaux) Karrer, he was a life resident. Jacques had retired from Republic Steel in the mid 1980's and had a passion for cars. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Canton Lodge No. 60, F & AM and AASR. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rosemary, Aunt; Caroline Snyder, Uncle; Jon Garaux and many cousins. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St. W. with Father Don King officiating. Interment in West Lawn Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held Thursday at 4:45p.m. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and one half hour prior to the service on Friday.
